Young Fans of the Treausers of the Mountains Project

Our primary and secondary students had a lesson about Geocaching in the school garden. Adem Hasgül, the coordinator of Paragliding World Cup –Tour 2007 Kayseri-Turkey and the academic advisor of mountaineering club of Erciyes University, visited our school and taught us how and what a GPS used for. We got very useful information about the basic functions of the device and tried to perform how to hide and seek a cache theoretically. The next steps will be a trekking activity up to Mount Ali hiding a real treasure on top of it. Our school is situated just on the skirt of this mountain and it is famous for the sport of paragliding.
